A student who is not passing all subjects at the time of his/her application may not be considered for admission to Ascension Academy.

The student has a demonstrated history of appropriate motivation and effort.

Appropriate effort includes being attentive in class, consistently completing homework, and being prepared for class. The student has achieved grades that are compatible with his/her ability. To determine if a student meets this criterion, the Committee reviews the conduct and effort portions of the report card, teacher recommendations, admission test scores, and report card grades.

The student has consistently demonstrated cooperation with school rules and regulations.

An applicant has demonstrated good conduct and citizenship in class, halls, playground, cafeteria, on field trips, etc., at his/her current and previous schools.

To determine if an applicant meets this criterion, the Committee reviews the conduct and effort portion of the report card, teacher recommendations, observation of his/her behavior while on our campus, and insights from the application interview.

A student who has been suspended, expelled, or asked to leave any academic environment may not be considered for admission to Ascension Academy.

The applicant treats classmates and all school personnel with respect and kindness.

To determine if a student meets this criterion, the Committee reviews the conduct and effort portion of the report card, teacher recommendations, observation of a student’s behavior while on our campus, and insights from the application interview.
