Carolyn Miller

Mrs. Miller earned a BA and MA degree from West Texas A&M University and is certified in English and Spanish. She also attended Southwestern Theological Baptist Seminary. Mrs. Miller won Teacher of the Year at Randall High in 1999, an Excellence in Teaching Award from UT, a grant from National Endowment for Humanities to study at Northwestern University in Chicago. She was also named Woman of the Year from American Business Woman's Association. She is a member of Texas Instructional Mentor Team for English Teachers and a presenter at state English conventions; she was President of Canyon Classroom Teachers Association, of Panhandle Council of English Teachers, and of ABWA. She is certified in Advanced Placement for English Language. In addition, she has taught Bible courses in local churches. In her tenth year with Ascension, Mrs. Miller is department head for Religion and teaches high school Protestant religion and high school English.
