Dr. Patterson grew up here in Amarillo before heading off to south Texas for university. After graduating, she taught in the Dallas area for two years before moving to China. In China, she worked for a private, American-education international school system. For 21 years, Dr. Patterson served as a classroom teacher and later as a school and system administrator in curriculum, professional development, teacher training, and accreditation. While abroad, she traveled extensively and visited a wide range of private schools in Asia as an accreditation visiting chair. Dr. Patterson recently returned to Amarillo to spend time with her family and is looking forward to joining the Cardinal family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, and trying cuisine from across the globe.
