  • Ascension Academy Wows at State Latin Competition

    Once again, Ascension Academy Latin students represented the smallest school that placed in the top ten for both upper and novice divisions at the Texas State Junior Classical League convention on April 21 and 22 in Humble, Texas. In the Upper Division Sweepstakes, Ascension won 5th place in the state of Texas. Many of the schools competing in the state competition have enrollments of 1600 students or more.   Read More...

    Once again, Ascension Academy's Latin students swept the Area D competition for Junior Classical League. More than sixty students from Ascension advanced to the JCL State Competition scheduled in April.   • Ascension Academy Singers Selected as Texas All-State Musicians

    Isabel Houseal, Nate Pearson, and Kelvin Mote, members of the Ascension Academy Cardinal Choir will perform with the Texas All-State Small School Choir in San Antonio, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the 2016 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention. They were chosen for this prestigious honor through a competitive process held this year across the state at District, Region, and Area levels.   Read More...
