Ascension Academy offers competitive scholarships to our students to offset the cost of tuition: the Board of Regents Scholarship and the Ascension Academy Scholarship for String Musicians.
The Board of Regents Scholarship is an academic award given to new and current students and based solely on academic achievement. Scholarships are awarded annually to students who achieve the top scores on the Board of Regents’ Scholarship Competition Exam given in the spring of each year. Scholarship winners will be announced within one month of the exam, and the exam is administered at no cost to the student.
The Ascension Academy Scholarship for String Musicians is a merit-based award given to one new or current student in grades 8-11 who, through a selection and interview process, is found to possess exemplary musical talent. Applications, auditions and interviews occur during the spring semester each year. The winner is announced no later than May.
These two scholarship opportunities are available to all eligible students but cannot be accepted by a single student. In the event a student wins both, he or she must choose one, making room for an additional student to receive a scholarship.
